Matt Jones

Areas Matt covers: National

After graduating from University, Matt spent 22 years working in the financial services sector. He started his career at MBNA bank in Chester, working within the credit card industry. He's also worked as an underwriter, acquisition manager, call centre manager and an insurance product & strategy manager.

In 2016 he took his CeMAP and CeRER mortgage & equity release exams, and has advised hundreds of people on traditional standard mortgages and equity release during his time. Matt's sole focus now is to help people within the equity release market, and he's happy to see clients in their own home on a face to face basis, or over the phone or via a zoom call.

Outside of work Matt enjoys watching football and trying to play golf, although he never managed to get his golf handicap below 19. Matt is married and a father of two teenage daughters, so most of his spare time is now taken up with family life and walking their pet dog.

Things to consider

  • An expert equity release adviser can discuss your needs over the phone, face to face or over a video call, and explain more about equity release. They’ll always tell you if equity release isn’t right for you and there’s absolutely no obligation to go ahead.
  • We understand equity release isn’t for everyone, and we’ll never say it’s the right option for you unless we’re certain.
  • A lifetime mortgage is a loan secured against your home.
  • With a lifetime mortgage there are typically no monthly repayments to make as the loan plus roll up interest is repaid when the plan comes to an end.
  • Equity release will reduce the value of your estate and may affect your entitlement to means-tested benefits.
  • Unless you decide to go ahead with a plan, our service is completely free of charge, as our fixed advice fee of £1,999 is only payable on completion of a plan.
